The Spanish newspaper La Razón organises an awards ceremony for one of its supplements and gives an award to Isabel Díaz Ayuso to thank her for the huge amount of money that the president gives to the newspaper in institutional advertising.
The "special prize for Health Management to the Community of Madrid" and the rest of the prizes were presented by Fátima Matute Teresa, Health Minister of the Community of Madrid (sic); Francisco Marhuenda, official scribe of the PP and Sergio Alonso, another employee of the aforementioned mamporrera publication.
These acts of cynicism with their inevitable touch of provocation, which Ayuso likes so much, are now a classic.
In 2022 he already received another "special health administration award" from another bunch of cynics.
This is how the machinery works. These shenanigans are a reflection of the prizes that administrations manufacture for the sole purpose of handing out to their party colleagues.
In April this year, the President of the Madrid Regional Government recognised herself as the architect of the"Best Regional Hospital Management in the Best in Class (BiC) 2023 Awards". An award for Madrid's healthcare system that is evaluated by the Community of Madrid itself. The ultimate expression of the "recochineo".
The latter is just another of the many Juan Palomo awards with which politicians and journalists build a false authority based on non-existent merits to wash their shit and hide it behind paid applause.
And to keep things on track, Ayuso will award the ultra-right-wing Milei with the International Medal of the Community of Madrid at an official meeting next Friday in Madrid. Milei will also receive an award from the Juan de Mariana Institute.
And you may wonder why and what merits the wig has for receiving these awards. Don't waste your time, it's just another stupid medal given out on Ayuso's childish whim to make the other side angry.
According to the law regulating the honorary distinctions of the Community of Madrid, the international medal "will be awarded as a gesture of courtesy and as recognition and respect from the citizens of the Community of Madrid to the representatives of other countries and the highest dignitaries of international organisations and the European Union, on official visits to the Region for their institutional work".
The text details that the concession will be granted by decree on the personal initiative of the holder of the Presidency of the Community.
